Mac Menu Bar and Dock Access
If enabled by your installation, Genie adds a small menu bar icon on macOS so you can reach it quickly from anywhere.
What you can do from the menu bar
Section titled “What you can do from the menu bar”- Open the full Genie window, even when you are not in Script Workspace or Layout mode
- Show or hide the Genie window
- Open Settings
How to find it
Section titled “How to find it”Look at the right side of the macOS menu bar for the Genie icon.
Open Genie without Script Workspace
Section titled “Open Genie without Script Workspace”Click the Genie icon in the macOS menu bar and choose the Genie window action. This is useful when you want to ask a question, review history, or open Settings without opening Script Workspace first.
Restore when minimized in Dock
Section titled “Restore when minimized in Dock”If the Genie window is minimized, click its Dock icon to bring it back.
- Pin the Genie window to a space or desktop for fast switching.
- Use the menu bar while FileMaker is full-screen to bring Genie forward quickly.
