No. Genie is designed around FileMaker-native context, Script Workspace capture, metadata grounding, and review-first apply behavior.

Do I need both activation and provider credentials?

Section titled “Do I need both activation and provider credentials?”

Yes. Activation unlocks Genie. Provider credentials give Genie access to the models you choose.

See Licensing and Activation and AI Providers.

Use ASK when you want explanation, troubleshooting, or a plan. Use CODE when you are ready to request a script change.

See Daily Workflows.

Genie is designed around explicit review and confirmation steps. ASK stays read-only, CODE is review-first, and DATA requires explicit confirmation.

See Safety and Confirmation Model.

When should I use Add Selection instead of Add Scripts?

Section titled “When should I use Add Selection instead of Add Scripts?”

Use Add Selection for the current script or selected rows. Use Add Scripts when the task depends on multiple open scripts.

See Local MCP Bridge.
